This clip was aired during Elvis Week August 1997. This was the 20th anniversary of Elvis' passing plus the week that "All the King's Men" and Scotty Moore's biography hit the shelves. Considering the stumbling blocks in getting both finished, it should not have been a surprise but UPS went on strike the very day that we went on sale! We still had a great time in Memphis despite a heart attack scare with D. J. Fontana. Scotty & I watched this broadcast in his hotel room - on my 41st birthday - while getting shit-faced on his bottle of Johnny Walker Red and me having the pleasure of hearing his own Elvis memories. I never felt closer to him than on that night.
